Announcing Tunepal for Android Phones

Android phone owners will soon have access to the most amazing and useful music tool ever invented: Tunepal. Tunepal for iPhone has sold over 1000 copies and has users in 22 countries around the world. Tunepal for Android will be 100% feature compatible with Tunepal for iPhone and will support the following features:

  1. Search a database of over 13,000 compositions from your Android mobile phone. The Tunepal database contains tunes from O’Neils 1001, Ceol Rince na hEireann 1-4,, Henrik Norbeck and Nigel Gatherer.
  2. Play a tune on a traditional instrument such as the flute, whistle , fiddle, pipes or concertina and Tunepal will retrieve the name and notation for the tune.
  3. Play back, slow down, speed up or transpose the tunes on one of 128 MIDI high quality instruments
  4. Display the stave and rotate your Android phone for a better view.
  5. Store and retrieve tunes on your phone
  6. Plot your retrieved tunes on a map
  7. Email tunes or post tunes on your facebook page

Additional features planned for the android version:

  1. Display your BPM as you play
  2. Search for a tune by saying the name!

Development is at an advanced stage and Tunepal for Android will be released on the Android paid app market in these countries. Users in other countries (including Ireland) can purchase Tunepal on the SlideME marketplace.

Tunepal for Android will be released at the end of July 2010 and will be compatible with HTC Desire/Hero, Google Nexus One, Motorola Droid, G1, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 amongst others.
