At last, version 1.3 is submitted today with the following new features:
1. Tunepal now shows the top ten matching tunes for your query, rather than the single closest matching tune. You can download any or all of the matching tunes from any of the tunebooks the tune was found in.
2. You can post a tune to your Facebook page, by tapping the f button on the tune display screen.
3. You can view any tune in stave notation by tapping the dots button on the tune display screen.
4. Moved the location of the Map and the Preferences tabs.
I spent quite a while trying to get rotations to work and eventually gave up (for this release anyway). Hopefully I can get it working for version 1.4. Also, there is a placeholder in this version for Nigel Gatherer’s tune collection. There are no tunes in the database. It would crash everyones Tunepal if I was to put them in now. I will wait a month or so until everyone upgrades to this version.

Does Tunepal work with the iPod Touch (3g)? Do you recommend any particular type of external microphone to plug into it?
Yes it works with any iPod touch 2nd gen. I have lots of iPod touch users. Im not sure what microphone I’d recommend as I only have an iPhone. Keep in mind that you will need an internet connection to get the best out of Tunepal
I love tunepal, but the “dots” display without rotation is quite limited. The Tunebook does rotation of ABC tunes well, and its source code is available under GPL: http://jhlabs.com/tunebook/

Nice app. works fine with D and Bb whistle. But it does not work with my B-set of pipes. Is that possebility coming later?
